aka ‘Dr Macro’

I have been involved with the PC just about from the beginning. I started my working life in accountancy and quickly moved towards systems analysis and computer-based projects with companies such as Dupont, Crompton Parkinson Cables and Deb Chemicals.

I have had an almost twenty year association with Bass Brewers, subsequently Coors, developing automated spreadsheet reporting systems throughout the whole group starting during the time when Windows, networks and the internet were emerging. I have built, sold and supported PCs and taught how to use them with Nottinghamshire CC and the WEA.

I volunteered as School Governor throughout my children’s education at the Green and Glebe and at Fredrick Gent I was Chair for a couple of years. I have been a Director of the South Normanton and Pinxton Development Project and particularly pleased to be involved with opening the Business Centre in the village. I am involved with Alfreton Cricket Club. I helped to secure Clubmark status and have been a junior coach and occasional performer.
